For Birth Parents

The Catholic Church is deeply rooted in tradition, faith, and community. If you’re facing an unplanned pregnancy or if you are parenting and struggling to provide for your child, and it feels overwhelming right now, you don’t have to walk this road alone. Adoption can be a beautiful, loving choice.

Choosing adoption means putting your child’s needs first, and it’s truly a selfless act of love. With an open adoption, you have the choice to stay connected through updates, photos, videos, texts, and even in-person visits, whatever feels comfortable for you.

By selecting a Catholic adoptive family through our parent company, Lifetime Adoption, you can be confident your child will be raised in the Catholic faith learning Bible teachings, celebrating traditions, and becoming part of a supportive Catholic community.

Our caring, experienced adoption coordinators are here to guide you through every step of the adoption process and can help you choose a Catholic family who are a perfect fit for your child

“The love I have for my daughter’s birth mother is indescribable. She gave me the greatest gift I will ever receive. Our open adoption gives her the flexibility to decide how much contact she wants to have with us. Sometimes it’s more, sometimes it’s less, we love her just the same and view her as a part of our extended family.”

For Those Hoping to Adopt

If you are Catholic and hoping to adopt, we are here to help make that dream a reality. Open adoption creates meaningful relationships between birth parents and adoptive parents, connections that can be life-giving for everyone involved, especially the child. Having your Catholic faith in common can help create a meaningful connection and a foundation of shared values, traditions, and community.

Many birth mothers are specifically seeking Catholic families to raise their newborns or young children in the faith. While you may picture yourself adopting a newborn, consider the joy that can come from welcoming a toddler or a sibling group into your home. Our adoption coordinators help birth parents with children up to the age of six find Catholic adoptive families for their child or children. We do not separate sibling groups as we feel these bonds should not be broken if possible.

Our compassionate adoption coordinators work closely with both birth parents and adoptive families. They’ll help you match with a birth parent that aligns with your hopes for contact and honors the birth mother’s wishes. Together, we’ll walk with you on this journey, guiding you toward the child or children meant to be part of your family.

Adoption is an Act of Love

Catholic adoption is a beautiful act of love. Families are welcoming their child into a loving home and then in baptism into their supportive parish. Birth mothers sometimes attend the baptism of their child into the adoptive parent’s church, which is always an amazing and special occasion for all. As members of a Catholic parish are like family, birth parents and the adoptive family can be like extended family as well. We even have birth grandparents who have become close with the adoptive family and have a relationship with their birth grandchildren. There is never too much love for a child! And a child knowing he or she is loved so much by their adoptive parents, birth parents, and their family, and by the Catholic parish they are a part of is a true blessing.
