A Letter from Jason & Lauren
Hi! We are travel-loving foodies who like going to live shows and trying new restaurants. Having grown up near the beach, we both love spending time by the water too. We were both born and raised in Southern California and now our life is in central Texas. Adoption has been on our hearts for a long time. Our story has led us through a lot and through it all our relationship and desire to raise a child together have stayed strong. We’d love the chance to get to know you and talk! We have so much we want to share with a child. It would be an honor to become adoptive parents for your baby.
Our Story
How we met, as told by Lauren: We met through a mutual friend in high school when Jason was a senior and I was a sophomore. For years we kept in touch and would talk here and there as we went through college. Then on New Years Eve Jason asked me to get coffee sometime. We hung out more and became better friends. A year later we were officially a couple and now we’ve been married for about 8 years!
Together we enjoy:
• Going for boat rides
• Game nights
• Trying new things, like cooking or painting classes
• Live performance shows, like comedy or magic acts, musicals or plays, and concerts
• Going to basketball, football, hockey, and baseball games
• History tours
• Amusement parks
• Traveling around the U.S. and internationally
• Walks or hikes
• Mini golf, bowling, ping pong, and cornhole
About Lauren
I am a homemaker and do event planning on the side. I look forward to being home with our future child as a stay-at-home mom after we adopt!
According to Jason: Lauren is thoughtful and always taking time to consider the needs and feelings of those around her. Her creativity shines in everything she does. She is a natural planner, organizing things so they run smoothly. Lauren has a huge heart and goes out of her way to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us. She is loyal and dedicated to her loved ones. I know Lauren will be a wonderful mother who will create a loving, structured, creative space for our child to grow up.
Lauren likes:
• Working out
• Reading, podcasts, music, and reality TV
• Planning parties
• Interior design and home decorating
• Coming up with unique gifts for loved ones
About Jason
I work from home providing commercial loans to businesses.
According to Lauren: Jason is the kindest person I know! He’s forgiving, trusting, warm, and welcoming. I’ve always admired his gift for being able to talk to anyone and put them at ease. He is easy-going, compassionate, open-minded, understanding, hard-working, and driven to reach new goals. Jason is humble and motivated too. I believe my husband will be such a wonderful, caring, and silly dad and I can’t wait to raise a child with him.
Jason likes:
• Playing basketball
• Running
• Taking cycling Peloton classes
• Walks with our dog to the park
• Music, podcasts, and keeping up with the stock market
Our Home in Texas
We live in a rural town just 30 minutes outside of a city in central Texas. We have the best of both worlds here! Our town is quaint and quiet, but we are a short drive to get anything we need from the city. Plus, we love living close to an airport, which makes it easy for us to travel.
Our house is a new one-story home in a gated community. We have 4 bedrooms, a den, and a large yard. It’s been fun to work on our home together and make it more custom to us.
Our Dog: We have an Aussie-Doodle named Zeppelin, after one of Lauren’s favorite bands. He is playful, well-behaved, loving, and funny. Zeppelin will always let us know what he wants or how he’s feeling! We know he’ll be a sweet pet for our child to grow up with.
Friends & Family
Most of our families live in California. Lauren has a sister who lives near us in Texas, and Jason’s dad and stepmom live in New Mexico. Jason’s extended family is loud, talkative, and energetic. Lauren’s extended family is smaller and she stays very close with one of her cousins. We are both the oldest of 3—Lauren is the oldest of 3 girls and Jason is the oldest of 3 boys! We’re pretty close with our siblings and talk with each other daily.
We are also thankful to have friends who are like family to us. Our best friends even asked us to be godparents to their son. We love spending time with our close friends and sharing our lives together.
Our Heartfelt Promise
Thank you for learning about us and considering us as an adoptive family for your child. We will always be there for your child and keep our commitment to you throughout his or her life. As parents, we’ll raise our child to know they can talk to us about anything. We will talk about you with love and help him or her be proud of how we all came together through adoption.
We promise to:
• Support him or her through anything they face.
• Encourage their education and nurture any interests or hobbies they have outside of school.
• Create a stable, well-rounded life and space to grow in his or her strengths.
• Be honest with your child when they have questions about their adoption.
• Help your child understand who you are and how much you mean to us.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions! Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family | ||
Why We're Hoping to Adopt | We both felt adoption was put on our hearts before we were married. Shortly after our wedding, Jason had to go through cancer treatment and we were told that there would be little chance that we'd be able to have a child biologically. Jason is better now and has been healthy for over 7 years. We were actually able to get pregnant a few times, but each one ended in miscarriage. We talked and prayed together about having a child and we always felt called back to adoption. It’s like adoption was meant for our family all along!
Plans for Childcare | {As told by Jason} We’ve set up our lives so that Lauren will become a full-time stay-at-home mom after we adopt. I also work from home, so I will be able to have more time with our child in the day to day. We’re excited to become first-time parents!
What Matters to Us: | Our Catholic faith, family and friends, hard work, trustworthiness, keeping a comfortable home, integrity, kindness, service, and the value of life mean a lot to us. We'd love to pass down these values as parents.
Traditions We're Excited to Share with a Child | • We LOVE the fall and look forward to apple picking, corn mazes, pumpkin carving, planning autumn-themed dinners, and traveling to the Northeast to see the fall-color leaves.
